Asian markets pull back from two-session gains on Wednesday, led by Hang Seng

All the major Asian markets were lower on Wednesday, with the Hang Seng Index sliding more than 2 per cent at one stage, as protests erupted in opposition to the proposed extradition law with Beijing. At 8.30 AM GMT, the Shanghai Composite Index was down about half a per cent, with the Nikkei slipping 0.35 per cent, South Korea’s Kospi off by 0.15 per cent and India’s Sensex sliding about 0.60 per cent.
