Morning Preview

Good morning and happy Monday traders,

The start to this week has seen a mix in sentiment with the dollar down and Asian indices falling…

  • Overnight the ASX and Nikkei both fell, 1.51% and 2.3% respectively
  • The US dollar is on the back foot, down against all other major currencies
  • Brent crude and WTI are both down over 1%
  • The uncertainty looks as though it is down to the rise in US coronavirus cases
  • Looking at Brexit, there are reports that senior MP’s in the Conservative Party have urged negotiators to reject any compromises offered by Brussels
  • And finally, in today’s calendar, we have European business and consumer confidence at 10 am, German inflation data at 1 pm, and the US pending home sales data at 3 pm.

I’ll be back with another update at the European open…
