Die Bank hatte \u00f6ffentlich bekannt gegeben, dass sie dringend frisches Kapital ben\u00f6tige, was bei Investoren gro\u00dfe \u00c4ngste ausl\u00f6ste.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-notice has-background has-light-green-background-color py-2 px-[30px]\">\n\n    <div>\n        \n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"  class=\"wp-block-heading\"  id=\"auf_den_punkt_gebracht\">Auf den Punkt gebracht<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Die Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) ist pleite<\/li><li>Deutsche Bafin hat bereits ein Moratorium \u00fcber die deutsche Zweigniederlassung verf\u00fcgt<\/li><li>Die US-Regierung versichert jedoch, dass s\u00e4mtliche Kundeneinlagen (in den USA) sicher sind<\/li><li>Eine Ausweitung auf das europ\u00e4ische Finanzsystem scheint nicht gegeben zu sein<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Silicon Valley Bank ist &#8211; oder besser war &#8211; eine der Top-20-Banken in den USA. Sie konzentrierte sich auf Wachstumsunternehmen sowie deren Mitarbeiter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die SVB hat \u00fcber 30.000 Start-ups finanziert und beteiligt sich oft an diesen Unternehmen, indem sie Eigenkapitalanteile \u00fcbernimmt.<strong> Fast die H\u00e4lfte aller wagniskapitalfinanzierten Technologie- und Gesundheitsunternehmen ist bei der Silicon Valley Bank engagiert.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Die niedrigen Zinsen der letzten Jahre haben zu gro\u00dfz\u00fcgigen Finanzierungen gef\u00fchrt. <\/strong>Aber die seit zwei Jahren anhaltende Tristesse am Wachstumsmarkt hat dazu gef\u00fchrt, dass<strong> viele verlustbringende Start-ups das Geld ausgeht.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schlie\u00dflich halten sich externe Kreditgeber zur\u00fcck. Entweder sie verkaufte eigene Anlagen oder sie nimmt Kredite am Kapitalmarkt auf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Weder der eine, noch der andere Weg, waren einfach. Die Zinsen am Kapitalmarkt sind hoch. Der Verkauf von eigenen Anlagen h\u00e4tte zwar sofort Liquidit\u00e4t in die Kassen gesp\u00fclt. Doch die Werte lagen unter dem Einkaufspreis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Die Silicon Valley Bank musste auf die eine oder andere Weise in den sauren Apfel bei\u00dfen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Man entschied sich, Wertpapiere zu verkaufen, um die Liquidit\u00e4t zu sichern. Die Verluste summierten sich beim Verkauf dabei auf 1,8 Mrd. US-Dollar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Das kam f\u00fcr viele Investoren \u00fcberraschend. <\/strong>Schlie\u00dflich gingen Anleger davon aus, dass die Bank \u00fcber gen\u00fcgend Reserven verf\u00fcgte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neben den Verlusten hat die Silicon Valley Bank auch einen geh\u00f6rigen Vertrauensschaden erlitten.<strong> Viele Investoren verkauften ihre Silicon Valley Aktien. Kunden zogen weiter Geld ab. Sie ruft zur Ruhe auf. Jeder Kunde soll sein Geld zur\u00fcckbekommen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Zum Schutz der Einleger und nicht zum Schutz der Bank, greift das Finanzministerium ein, wie die US-Regierung betont.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Im Zweifel wird die US-Notenbank die erforderlichen Finanzmittel bereitstellen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>US-Finanzministerin Janet Yellen betont, dass es anders als in der Finanzkrise 2008 nicht darum geht, Banken im gro\u00dfen Stile zu retten.
