- Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) set to close its Amazon Restaurants and Daily Dish workplace delivery services in the US

Amazon has scheduled the closing down of its Amazon Restaurants division for 24th June, a move that will follow the shuttering of its Daily Dish delivery service on 14th June. An Amazon spokesman has specified a lack of significant growth as the reason behind the closure. As of May this year, Amazon Restaurants provided its services in over 20 US cities.
The shutdown comes after the company halted its Amazon Restaurants services in the UK in late 2018, stating in an Evening Standard article that it “needed to be more than a logistics company trying to be a food company.”
