Asian markets surge on Tuesday, led by Chinese stocks
- Japan’s Nikkei 225 settled at 21,204.28 on Tuesday, gaining 0.33 per cent for the session.
Asian stock markets were trading higher on Tuesday, extending the previous session gains, led by a sharp rally in Chinese stocks. At 8.50 AM GMT, the Shanghai Composite Index was soaring more than 2.5 per cent at 2,925.72 while the Hang Seng advanced by 0.80 per cent to 27,801.90. Singapore’s Straits Times, India’s Sensex and South Korea’s Kospi too pushed higher and were last seen advancing with gains of 0.70 per cent correspondingly.
