Aurora to associate with Fiat Chrysler (NYS: FCAU) to build indigenous platforms for commercial vehicles
- Aurora is already in partnership with Volkswagen, Hyundai Motor Co and Byton to develop and test self-driving systems.
- In February, the company raised $530 million in a fresh round of funding.
Aurora, the self-driving car software start-up said on Sunday that they would be allying with Fiat Chrysler to build independent platforms for the automaker’s commercial vehicles. The software company is aiming to capitalise on the growing demand for self-driven automobiles brought on by the technological advances in machine learning, and is already associated with some of the big names in the automobile industry.
