- Deutsche Bank AG (ETR:DBK) has so far requested for company-ownership details and supporting documents from some of its investment banking clients.
- The requests were sent to around 1,000 clients as the German bank works hard to tighten its compliance procedures.
The bank has issued ‘know your customer' letters to multiple asset managers and other corporate clients in a concerted effort to prevent financial crimes at the bank.
A spokeswoman for Deutsche Bank said: “This is a standardized notification that has been sent to thousands of clients globally.”
The affected clients are supposed to submit the information and relevant documents to the bank by the end of June or risk losing access to some essential services.
