US dollar trading mixed as European stock markets edge lower

  • Most of the European stock indices are edging lower even as China’s benchmark stock index settled with gains of about 0.60 percent.
  • The US dollar index (DXY) was mostly unchanged at 97.52.

The US dollar was trading mixed against the majors even as the European stock markets edged lower on Thursday towards noon. AT 10.45 AM GMT, the greenback was quoting lower by about a tenth of a percent to the euro while it was mostly unchanged against the pound sterling, Japanese yen, and the Australian dollar.
