0 Sam Rondon
Taotao, a new crypto exchange platform is about to start working after being developed for about a year. Yahoo Japan is a major shareholder of the upcoming platform. According to the recent announcement on Twitter, Taotao will go live Thursday, May 30, at midday local time. Besides the online platform, Taotao will also be launching a mobile app which will allow customers to trade in bitcoin (BTC) and ether (ETH) at launch. Alongside the BTC and ETH, Taotao will later add three more cryptos including XRP, litecoin (LTC) and bitcoin cash (BCH). Taotao first announced its plan to start a cryptocurrency exchange in March last year. For that cause, Yahoo! Japan bought 40% of the Tokyo-based cryptocurrency exchange BitARG for 2 billion yen (more than $18 million). While Yahoo! Japan’s stake in the company is 40%, the remaining 60% of Taotao is held by CMD Lab Inc.
