Will the recent stock market rally last

Hi James. It won't in my opinion. Normally during times of bear markets and recessions (take a look back on long term charts) we will see massive rallies, but when the initial optimism fades and we are still left with the virus continuing to spread then we will probably see the sell off continue once more. We still haven't seen the full impact on the economy through data releases as of yet. 

Trump is also talking about easing the lock downs in the US and re-opening the economy which could end up making the US the epicentre of the virus. This would be terrible and the economy will be hit very hard. We are already seeing New York struggling to cope. I believe this bounce is just that, a bounce and we will see markets sell off again soon.
