Robinhood's stock price (NASDAQ: HOOD) has recaptured $100 pre-market, currently at $101.10 as bullish analyst upgrades follow a solid set of earnings results from the firm.
The catalyst for much of the recent positive sentiment is Robinhood's Q2 2025 earnings, which exceeded consensus estimates by a significant 40%.
This impressive performance was driven by a combination of strong sales growth and disciplined expense management, resulting in a diluted EPS of $0.42, compared to the expected $0.31.
Revenue also surpassed expectations, reaching $989 million against a projected $915 million.
Bank of America analyst Craig Siegenthaler responded to these results by raising the firm's price target on Robinhood to $119 from $112, reiterating a Buy rating on the shares. Siegenthaler noted that the earnings beat was attributable to both top-line expansion and effective cost control.
Similarly, Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Brett Knoblauch recently increased his price target from $100 to $118, maintaining an Overweight rating, reflecting further confidence in Robinhood's growth trajectory.
Looking closer at financials, total net revenue increased by 50% to $927 million, whilst transaction-based revenues surged 77% to $583 million, fueled by strong performance in options, equities, and cryptocurrencies.
Net interest revenue also saw a 14% increase, reaching $290 million, while other revenues jumped 54% to $54 million, primarily due to the growth in Robinhood Gold subscriptions, which reached 3.2 million. Adjusted EBITDA rose 90% to $470 million, and net income increased by 114% year-over-year to $336 million. Earnings per share grew 106% from the prior-year period to $0.37, exceeding analyst forecasts of $0.33.
The average analyst target price is around $106.90, moving higher along with the street, however, this average may not fully capture the impact of the most recent analyst upgrades.
The consensus among analysts remains largely bullish. Of the analysts tracked, a majority rate HOOD as a “buy,” with price targets ranging from $102 to $125.
