Archer Aviation's stock price (NYSE: ACHR) has been under some pressure in recent weeks, down 39.79% on the month after an 8% pullback during yesterday's session. This morning, the stock has been given a boost by Canaccord, who remain bullish on the electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) company's prospects. Despite this positive signal, Archer Aviation's stock is trading at $6.78, down 1.31% in the pre-market, and 28.21% lower year-to-date.

The revised price target, moving from $12.00 to $13.00, reflects Canaccord's belief in Archer's long-term potential, even as it factors in considerations related to the company's recent capital raise.

A key development underpinning Canaccord's bullish stance is Archer's strategic partnership with Anduril Industries and the EDGE Group in the UAE. This collaboration will see Archer supplying its proprietary electric powertrain technology for the Omen autonomous air vehicle, marking the first instance of its powertrain being utilized by a third party. The UAE has committed to an initial acquisition of 50 Omen units.

This partnership represents a significant shift in Archer's operating model, opening up a new revenue stream beyond its core eVTOL aircraft development. The Omen is a Group 3 hover-to-cruise autonomous air vehicle being co-developed by Anduril and EDGE Group and powered by Anduril's Lattice mission AI software. The agreement not only validates Archer's technology but also positions it as a key player in the broader advanced air mobility ecosystem.

The markets are acknowledging the potential of this new revenue stream, even as the company continues to navigate the challenges of bringing its own eVTOL aircraft to market. The dual-use nature of Archer's technology is increasingly recognized as a valuable asset, capable of generating revenue and diversifying the company's business.

Archer's ability to secure partnerships with established players in the defense and technology sectors underscores the credibility and potential of its technology. The Anduril and EDGE Group collaboration could pave the way for further partnerships and applications of Archer's powertrain technology in various sectors.

The stock's current trading price of $6.87 reflects a complex interplay of factors, including overall market sentiment, investor expectations for the eVTOL industry, and company-specific developments. While the year-to-date decline remains substantial, the Canaccord price target increase suggests that some analysts believe the stock is undervalued and poised for future growth.

Whatever the path forward for ACHR, if history is any guide, you can expect volatility, one way or another
