Cohort PLC, the independent technology group, announced that its subsidiary Marlborough Communications Ltd (MCL) has been awarded new contracts totaling £17.9 million.

This development signals a strengthening of Cohort's market position and provides increased revenue visibility for the coming financial year. The company's shares have risen by around 2.9% on Friday morning.

MCL secured a £14.0 million contract from a UK government customer for the immediate delivery of uncrewed air systems, along with in-service support for two years. MCL will collaborate with Skydio to supply these systems. Additionally, MCL received a £3.9 million order for the supply of tactical audio systems to another UK customer.

The contract wins are strategically important for Cohort, establishing MCL's robust relationships with key UK customers. The company's ability to integrate technological innovation with expert engineering to meet urgent defense needs is clearly resonating within the sector.

The value of these contracts extends beyond the immediate financial boost. Securing these orders provides a solid foundation for future growth and reduces uncertainty regarding the company's financial performance. The company explicitly stated that sufficient orders have now been secured to fully underpin the Group's 2025/26 financial year consensus forecast revenue.

Andrew Thomis, Cohort Chief Executive, stated, “These valuable orders demonstrate the strength of MCL's relationships with its UK customers. Its highly skilled and knowledgeable team has a proven track record of combining the latest innovations in technology with expert engineering to meet urgent defence needs.

“These latest contracts, combined with other recent orders across the Group, further enhance our order book and the visibility of future revenues.”
