Helium One Global (HE1), focused on helium exploration in Tanzania and holding a 50% working interest in the Galactica-Pegasus helium development project in Colorado, USA, confirmed that the Galactica Project remains on track for first helium production in December 2025.
This follows an announcement by Blue Star Helium (ASX: BNL), the operator of the Galactica Project, regarding the commencement of construction activities.
Construction has begun on the production facility pad and gathering system, marking a significant milestone toward commercial production.
Contractors Redbud Partners LLC and PVC initiated site works, including upgrades to the access road, preparing the site for equipment delivery and installation. Procurement and delivery of major production components are proceeding as scheduled.
The gathering system is designed for future expansion, incorporating taps and risers for additional wells. Construction is starting at the Jackson-31 well, progressing to the main trunkline and connecting to the Pinon Canyon Plant site.
The Pinon Canyon Plant is slated for ramp-up to full capacity throughout H1 2026 as wells are progressively tied in. The company also expects to deliver CO2 for sale in H1 2026.
AskTraders Takeaway
The commencement of construction at the Galactica Project is a positive catalyst for Helium One, reducing execution risk and reinforcing confidence in the December 2025 production target.
Helium One is listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange under the ticker HE1. The company holds helium licenses across two continents, potentially positioning it as a strategic player in a supply-constrained helium market.
The company's flagship southern Rukwa Project in Tanzania is advancing to full appraisal and development, following successful exploration drilling in 2023/24. An extended well test flowed 5.5% helium continually to surface in Q3 2024.
The Company was formally awarded a 480km2 Mining Licence (“ML”) in July 2025, following the Mining Licence (“ML”) application with the Tanzania Mining Commission in September 2024.
