Journeo plc (LON: JNEO), a provider of intelligent transport systems, has announced a significant contract win, securing purchase orders worth US$5.0 million to supply platform display systems for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) in New York City.
The company's share price rallied more than 6% to 488.88p following the news.
The contract, awarded to Journeo’s subsidiary, Infotec, marks the company's entry into the Digital Out Of Home (DOOH) advertising market on subway platforms.
Infotec will deliver four new display variants, including 49-inch and 65-inch units certified for both indoor and outdoor use in the US, incorporating Journeo Design Centre TFT display technology.
These displays are equipped with embedded technology designed to manage performance, provide diagnostic feedback for predictive maintenance, and maximize system uptime.
Delivery of the displays is slated to begin in the second half of 2026, supporting Outfront Media Group's (OFM) program to replace existing technology on the MTA network.
This deal not only broadens Journeo's relationship with OFM but also positions the company favorably for future DOOH opportunities across transit networks throughout the United States.
CEO Russ Singleton commented, “We are delighted to extend the OFM relationship with the deployment of our displays onto New York City subway platforms. These purchase orders underscore the confidence that this leading advertising provider places in Journeo technology and is another important milestone in our US growth trajectory.”
