Kainos Group plc (LON: KNOS), a UK-based IT provider, announced the acquisition of Davis Pierrynowski Limited (Davis Pier), a Canadian consultancy specializing in public sector and community organizations.

The move aims to bolster Kainos' Digital Services division in Canada, particularly within the public and healthcare sectors.

The acquisition follows a successful partnership between Kainos and Davis Pier since 2022. Together, the companies have collaborated on digital transformation projects for the Registry of Motor Vehicles, Nova Scotia Healthcare, and Early Learning and Childcare.

Kainos' Digital Services Canada business experienced revenue growth exceeding 70% in the most recent financial year, reaching £9 million, with a team of over 100 colleagues, including 60 based in Canada.

Davis Pier, headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia, brings a team of 120 employees to Kainos. The acquired entity will operate under the Davis Pier brand within Kainos' Digital Services division in Canada. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

CEO of Kainos, Brendan Mooney, commented: “It has been a privilege to work alongside the Davis Pier team in delivering solutions for our shared clients that create tangible social impact for citizens. Bringing our two teams together is a natural next step in the relationship, and we are excited by the opportunities this creates for our clients, for our new and existing colleagues, and for our business in Canada.”
