Vertu Motors PLC (LON: VTU), the UK's fourth-largest automotive retailer, announced the acquisition of Skoda Leicester from Marshall Motor Group Limited, effective November 1st, marking its fifth Skoda dealership.

The newly acquired site, to be rebranded as Vertu Skoda Leicester, will operate from its existing leasehold location on Groby Road.

This addition is said to complement Vertu's existing Skoda sites in Darlington, Derby, Chesterfield, and Nottingham, expanding its network and service capabilities for Skoda customers.

The Leicester site also becomes Vertu's third location in the city, alongside Renault/Dacia and Toyota dealerships, creating operational synergies.

Adrian Skow, Vertu Skoda Franchise Director, highlighted the strategic importance of the acquisition, stating, “We are delighted to have acquired Skoda Leicester in a move that further cements our relationship with the brand, and which also helps to boost our presence in the key East Midlands region.”

Robert Forrester, Vertu Motors Chief Executive, said: “The East Midlands is an important area of growth for Vertu, so we are thrilled to add another dealership in the region to our portfolio. Skoda Leicester is a fantastic site in a prime location within the city and will be a strong addition to the Group.”
