Wizz Air Holdings PLC (LON: WIZZ) reported a robust 13.1% year-over-year increase in passenger numbers for October 2025, signaling continued strong demand for its low-cost travel options.
The airline carried 6.36 million passengers, up from 5.63 million in October 2024.
Seat capacity also rose, increasing by 13.0% to 6.85 million seats. The load factor, a key indicator of how efficiently an airline fills its seats, remained steady at a healthy 92.9%, matching the figure from the previous year.
This demonstrates Wizz Air's ability to maintain high occupancy rates even with increased capacity.
Over the past 12 months, Wizz Air has transported 67.39 million passengers, a 7.8% increase compared to the 62.51 million carried in the preceding year.
The rolling 12-month load factor also improved, reaching 91.2% compared to 90.1% a year ago. These figures underscore the airline's sustained growth trajectory.
The airline's expansion plans are also progressing, with a strategic focus on Central and Eastern European (CEE) markets. The opening of a new base in Yerevan, Armenia, on October 1st, aims to carry over 1.2 million passengers annually.
Furthermore, the announcement of a new base in Podgorica, Montenegro, scheduled to open with two Airbus A321neo aircraft, is projected to handle approximately 1.4 million seats per year, positioning Wizz Air as the largest carrier in the country.
