The firm told investors that the carrier’s management is clearly focused “medium-term growth targets and Package Holiday market share growth.”

Furthermore, the investment bank believes there is “value crystallisation,” explaining that the Holidays unit can increase the company’s medium-term targets in the next twelve months, which they feel “should also drive upside to shareholder returns.”

In October, Jefferies initiated coverage of easyJet with a Buy rating, saying that while the European airline sector faces challenges, Easyjet should be helped by its increasing package holiday business, fleet renewal through Airbus exposure, and self-help opportunities via optimising winter trading and ancillaries.

Elsewhere on Tuesday, analysts at Barclays raised their target for EZJ shares to 750p from 700p, maintaining an Overweight rating, while UBS lifted its target for the Buy-rated stock to 845p from 800p. Morgan Stanley also raised the firm’s price target on EasyJet to 710p from 685p, keeping an Overweight rating on the shares.
