Shares of Thruvision Group plc (AIM: THRU) are trading higher today after the company announced a new contract with the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA). The agreement, valued at US$0.6 million (£0.4 million), involves the supply of five 81-Series systems for aviation worker screening at Orlando International Airport, Florida.
The contract includes Thruvision’s 81-Series systems equipped with a new battery-powered base for mobile deployment, alongside two years of enhanced support. Delivery of the equipment is expected by March 31, 2026.
This win follows a similar contract award from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in December 2025, signaling growing acceptance of Thruvision’s technology within the U.S. aviation sector.
This latest agreement brings the total number of U.S. airports utilizing Thruvision systems to five, underscoring the increasing demand for non-contact screening solutions. Airports are facing heightened regulatory pressures and operational challenges at employee access points.
Thruvision’s systems are designed to improve security effectiveness, maintain workforce flow, and minimize disruptions—a crucial factor for large aviation hubs.
The company’s technology is deployed worldwide across airports and critical infrastructure environments where safety, throughput, and reliability are paramount.
The recent U.S. contract wins emphasize the rising demand for aviation worker screening solutions that enhance compliance, operational efficiency, and the overall employee screening experience.
Kevin Gramer, Senior Vice President, Thruvision Americas, commented, “This order reinforces our growing position in the U.S. aviation market. Airports need worker screening solutions that are mobile, compliant, and affordable-without compromising security or throughput. Thruvision systems are designed to give operators that flexibility, helping them strengthen employee screening while keeping operations moving efficiently.”
