Man Group Shares Hit Fresh 52-Week High

Man Group shares climbed to a new 52-week high on Friday, adding to Thursday’s rally and extending a year of gains, though no confirmed catalyst has emerged for the move.

Man Group (LON: EMG), the London-listed asset manager, hit a fresh 52-week high today. Shares closed at 336.8p on Thursday, above the previous 52-week high of 327.2p. The stock is now at 337.6p on Friday morning.

On Thursday, the session’s range ran from 324.6p to 336.0p. It is the first time this signal has fired for Man Group in the loaded trading history.

Volume came to 2,000,559 shares, below the 20-session average of 2,804,647, so the advance was not accompanied by unusually heavy trading.

Man Group is up 54.1% year-to-date, more than double its 52-week low, and now carries a market capitalisation of approximately £3.45bn within the FTSE 350.

No confirmed catalyst has been identified for the move. A search for an attributed cause returned no reputable source naming a specific driver, and none is stated here.
