Aurrigo Shares Steady as Automotive Recovery Lifts Revenue 19%

Aurrigo International (LON: AURR) reported 19% revenue growth for the first half of 2026, driven by an Automotive recovery, even as EBITDA losses widened and cash reserves fell.

Aurrigo International (LON: AURR), the Coventry-based maker of autonomous vehicles and automotive electrical systems, reported group revenue up 19% to £4.2m for the six months to 30 June 2026, from £3.5m a year earlier. Shares traded flat at 121.5p, unchanged from the previous close, when the company released its interim results earlier today.

Aurrigo’s Automotive division, which supplies electrical systems to car makers, grew revenue 53% to £3.6m as it recovered from disruption tied to US tariffs on UK car production last year. The division also delivered Aurrigo’s first defence contract, supplying electrical systems for unmanned vehicles. Meanwhile its Autonomous segment, which builds self-driving vehicles for airports, saw revenue fall to £0.6m from £1.1m as contracts completed and new work is not due to start before the second half. The company said it secured a £6.28m contract with Ultra Global in March, its largest ever single order, to build 25 autonomous guided vehicles for airport and passenger transit use.

Gross margin fell to 25.5% from 42.3% as the recovering Automotive division, a lower-margin business, made up a bigger share of sales. Adjusted EBITDA loss, a measure of underlying operating performance before interest, tax and non-cash charges, widened 96% to £3.1m from £1.6m, which Aurrigo attributed to staffing, Autonomous contract delivery costs and higher property costs from its move to a larger Coventry head office. Cash fell to £8.4m from £11.5m, with £2.8m used in operating activities in the period, up from £2.0m a year earlier.

Chief executive Prof. David Keene said the Ultra Global deal validates the group’s strategy in autonomous aviation.

The first half has demonstrated the complementary strengths of Aurrigo’s business. Automotive delivered a strong recovery and remained cash generative, while the £6.28m Ultra Global contract, the largest single contract in our history, provides further validation of our autonomous aviation strategy.

Net assets rose to £17.1m from £9.5m a year earlier, boosted by a £14.1m placing completed in September 2025. Aurrigo said trading remains in line with the Board’s expectations, with several Autonomous pipeline opportunities expected to reach decisions around the end of 2026.
