Futura Medical (LON: FUM), the Guildford-based maker of the over-the-counter erectile dysfunction gel Eroxon, said an additional home trial of reformulated Eroxon Intense produced higher scores than both the original Intense and current Eroxon.
The AIM-listed company published the results at 7am today before the market opened.
A delayed quote at 9.40am showed 22.8p, against 22.6p at yesterday’s close, so the stock is little changed.
The trial involved 115 men aged 18 to 59, mostly with mild to moderate erectile dysfunction. Men were satisfied with hardness in 82% of encounters on the new Intense presentation, against 71% for the original Intense and 70% for Eroxon.
On an erectile function score, the IIEF-EF, the improvement was 7.86 points against 4.82. The company says that exceeds the threshold generally regarded as clinically meaningful. Among men with moderate dysfunction, 87% reached a clinically meaningful improvement, against 73%.
The design was broadly identical to a home test run on the 23rd of March. It is still a company-run comparison across two separate studies.
Ken James, Futura’s Executive Director and Head of R&D, said the work supported the product’s positioning:
Importantly, the study continues to reinforce our belief that Intense’s enhanced sensorial experience represents a meaningful point of differentiation.

Futura says brand positioning work is nearing completion, with commercial launch planned for the first half of 2027. It says multiple licence or distribution partnerships are in place for Eroxon across major consumer markets, but names none.
The backdrop is difficult. Eroxon sales have reportedly disappointed, Haleon’s US deal ended with a $1.9m fee, and Market Performance Group became the US distributor from the 1st of September.
Futura also launched a formal sale process and a placing of up to £1.75m on the 3rd of September, with cash said to last into February 2027. Non-binding offers were due on the 2nd of October, and the company has not said where the process stands.
