Investors cheered the news, as evidenced by the rally in Mobilicom’s share price. The contract win comes days after Mobilicom showcased its drone and robotics solutions at Modern Day Marine 2023 to a host of potential military customers.
Teledyne-FLIR works with federal agencies and customers across the U.S. and has moved into commercialising the drone platform with its clients. The latest order is for SkyHopper PRO systems to be integrated into small-sized drones manufactured for the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD).
The delivery of the SkyHopper PRO system to Teledyne-FLIR under today’s purchase order will be done in 2023. SkyHopper PRO offers a bi-directional cyber secure Software Defined Radio (SDR) data link specifically designed for commercial and industrial drones, enabling fleet management and operation of autonomous uncrewed autonomous vehicle (UAV) systems.
Furthermore, Mobilicom launched the MCU-70, the latest MESH (device-to-device) Networking Cybersecure Software Defined Radio (SDR) Series that delivers high-performance wireless communications. The device can communicate over a range of 100 miles.
With its relatively small size and lightweight design, MCU-70 delivers superior performance for mid-sized and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) where form-factor-to-capability performance is critical.
