Adjusted profit before tax, before purchase price allocation (PPA) adjustments related to the Redrow acquisition, came in at £591.6 million, significantly exceeding the £385.0 million reported in the prior year. This figure also surpasses market expectations, which Bloomberg consensus estimated at £582.8 million. Reported profit before tax was £273.7 million, up from £170.5 million.

The company’s strong balance sheet is reflected in a net cash position of £772.6 million. The Board has proposed an increased dividend of 17.6 pence per share, an 8.6% rise from the previous year’s 16.2 pence, and a £100 million share buyback program is ongoing for FY26, following the completion of a £50 million buyback in the second half of FY25.

The integration of Redrow is progressing well, with six divisional offices already closed and IT integration underway. The company has confirmed annual cost synergies of £69 million, against a target of at least £100 million. This has resulted in a £20 million cost reduction through the income statement in FY25 profit and a further incremental cost reduction of £45 million expected in FY26.

CEO David Thomas commented, “We have delivered a solid performance in a tough market… The acquisition of Redrow is transformative for the Group, and I am pleased with the progress we have made on delivering synergies ahead of our targets and executing a successful integration.”
