Haleon plc (LON: HLN) revealed a significant leadership change, with Vindi Banga appointed as Chair, effective January 1, 2026.

This follows the resignation of Sir Dave Lewis, who will step down on December 31, 2025, to pursue a new executive opportunity.

The appointment of Vindi Banga signals continuity and experience. As Senior Independent Director since Haleon's listing in 2022, Banga possesses a deep understanding of the company's operations and strategic objectives.

His 33-year tenure at Unilever, including his role as CEO and Chair of Hindustan Unilever, provides a solid foundation in global consumer-focused businesses.

Banga's extensive board experience further strengthens his suitability for the role. His current position as Chair of UK Government Investments Limited (UKGI) and previous roles as Senior Independent Director at GSK and Marks and Spencer plc showcase his leadership capabilities in diverse corporate environments. He is also a partner at CD&R, a leading private investment firm.

Sir Dave Lewis reflected on his tenure, stating that Haleon is “now well established as an independent listed company.”

He highlighted the strength of the board and executive team, the company’s performance in a challenging environment, effective leverage management, and portfolio reshaping progress.

Vindi Banga commented: “On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Dave for his leadership and the considerable contribution he has made as Chair of Haleon since its listing in July 2022. It is a privilege to Chair Haleon and I look forward to working with the Board and management team to support Haleon's continued development.”
