Renishaw Shares Close at a 52-Week High Ahead of Final Results
Renishaw shares rose 5.41% on Monday to close at their highest level in a year, extending a five-session winning run two trading days before the group’s final results on Wednesday 23 September.
Renishaw PLC (LON: RSW), the precision engineering and scientific instruments group, closed at 5455p on Monday, its highest level in the past 52 weeks, after the shares rose 5.41% during the session. The stock moved between a session low of 5265p and a high of 5455p, with the close marking a new 52-week high.
The advance left the shares 64.7% above their 52-week low and up 56% since the start of the year. Monday’s session was also the fifth consecutive session in which the stock has closed higher, though trading volume of 92,289 shares was below the 20-day average of 102,211.
Daily close, 32 days to Monday 21 September 2026
How unusual this is
Monday’s 5.41% rise was the fifth-largest single-session move for Renishaw shares among the past 126 trading sessions, underlining how sharp the advance was even against a stock that has already climbed for five sessions running.

Daily change, six months to Monday 21 September 2026, today’s move highlighted
What was behind it
Proactive Investors reported around a week earlier that Jefferies had upgraded Renishaw to “buy”, citing expectations of a “longer and stronger semiconductor cycle”. That upgrade sits in the background as recent supportive analyst commentary rather than a confirmed trigger for Monday’s specific move.
Renishaw is due to report its full-year final results on Wednesday 23 September, just two trading days after Monday’s close, giving the market its next opportunity to test the strength behind the recent run.
