FTSE 100 Dip’s Into Close, Taylor Wimpey Follows – Bank’s Buck Trend With Gains

The FTSE 100 also tailed off into the close of today’s session, ending the day down 0,19%, yet holding on to the 8,800 level.

UK banks including Barclays (+1.15%) , Natwest (+0.97%), and HSCB (+0.88%) were notable gainers on the day, with IAG (+2.37%) leading the way.

Towards the bottom end of the index on the day were Shell (-2.85%), moving lower on a Q2 trading update, as BP (-1.98%) followed suit.
