LondonMetric Property's finance chief Martin McGann will retire in summer 2027, after the company's full-year results, and plans for his replacement are already well underway.

LondonMetric Property (LON: LMP), the UK real estate investment trust, announced today that chief financial officer Martin McGann has decided to retire. He will leave in summer 2027, once the company has reported its full-year results.

McGann has been at LondonMetric since its formation in January 2013. Before that he was finance chief at London & Stamford Property and at Pillar Property, where he worked with Andrew Jones, now LondonMetric’s chief executive, and many of the people who still make up its management team.

The company said plans for a replacement are well underway and that an announcement will follow in due course. No successor has been named.

Jones said he and McGann had worked together for more than 20 years. He credited their partnership with helping LondonMetric become one of the UK’s largest businesses, and said McGann leaves the company financially and structurally well positioned, backed by a team that has been together for many years. Jones added that he wants a first-class replacement to drive the next stage of the company’s journey.

McGann described the last 25 years across Pillar, London & Stamford and LondonMetric as exciting, and said his focus remains on the business and a smooth handover. He signed off as a shareholder himself.

I wish the team every success in the future and, as a shareholder, will watch on with interest and expectation as the dividend continues to grow.

Martin McGann, Chief Financial Officer

For shareholders, the points to follow are who is appointed as successor and how the handover runs.
