METLEN Reviews Euronext Athens Listing for Infrastructure Arm METKA

METLEN is considering listing its wholly owned infrastructure arm METKA on Euronext Athens to give it more capital, and expects to keep majority control if it goes ahead. The shares were little changed in early trading.

METLEN (LON: MTLN) is reviewing a possible Euronext Athens listing of METKA, its wholly owned infrastructure arm, and expects to keep majority control if it goes ahead. The company said so in a statement at 7.15am today, before the London open.

The shares stood 0.56% above yesterday’s close at 8.08am today and traded between 49.50 and 50.10 on the session so far. They are up 13% since the end of 2025.

That leaves them 1.7% below their highest close this year, set on the 11th of August. The shares were trading 4.1% above their close on the 7th of September.

The review follows METLEN’s corporate transformation and its recent announcement that it will spin off its public-private partnership (PPP) and concession-related activities into M Concessions S.A. METLEN is now consolidating its infrastructure activities under METKA Group, a standalone company it owns outright.

METKA is envisaged to cover construction, concessions and PPP investments, and facility management, through METKA ATE, M Concessions S.A. and Unison S.A. METLEN said the reorganisation is meant to improve operational flexibility and build METKA into a leading infrastructure platform in Greece and Southeast Europe.

That platform would span infrastructure, PPPs and concessions, along with adjacent sectors including real estate, logistics, water and environmental work.

The strategic options under review include a listing on Euronext Athens. METLEN said a listing would give METKA additional capital and strengthen its self-funding capacity and financial autonomy, meaning its ability to finance itself.

This is a review, not a transaction. METLEN said any deal depends on prevailing market conditions and on completing corporate and regulatory processes, and that METKA would stay its dedicated infrastructure platform. It will make further announcements as appropriate.
