Newmark Security (AIM: NWT), which supplies secure people-data hardware and cloud software for time and attendance and workforce data to human capital management (HCM) systems, said today it has made a positive start to its financial year, with HCM annualised recurring revenue up 13% to £4.3m. The company released the trading update at 7am, before the market opened, and said it expects year-on-year HCM revenue growth in the first half.
The six months to 31 October ended on Saturday, and the first-half results have not yet been reported. Newmark said the growth is weighted to the second half, as in previous years, and gave no figure for the expected first-half increase.
Annualised recurring revenue, or ARR, is the annualised monthly revenue from deployed HCM subscription contracts. It is not group revenue.
| Metric | September 2026 | September 2025 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| HCM ARR | £4.3m | £3.8m | +13% (+26% underlying) |
The underlying figure excludes a short-term Mexican services contract that was phased out last year. Newmark said the GT Tablet drove the growth.
The company also listed order wins. They include its first large order from a large US airline, won in the 2026 financial year, a Legion sale to a global home furnishings company, and a new US direct-to-end-user (D2E) sale that is its first Workday customer win.
Newmark has extended its relationship with its largest HCM customer, too. A significant clock supply agreement is expected to be delivered by the end of the financial year. Chief Executive Marie-Claire Dwek said the company had secured “our largest clocks order ever with an existing key customer.”
On strategy, the Safetell disposal completed on the 30th of September, after a National Security and Investment Act review. The Access Control sale process is under way and the company is in discussions with a prospective buyer. It named no buyer, price or date.
“Following the recent disposal of Safetell and the sale process of Access Control having commenced, we are now firmly focused on HCM and realising our sales pipeline and the growth opportunities we see ahead.”
Marie-Claire Dwek, Chief Executive Officer
The board is also reviewing further group cost savings, with no figure given. The statement carries no profit, cash or numerical guidance, and with Access Control unsold, the move to a pure HCM business is not yet complete.
