Rocket Lab Shares Slide, Adding to Yesterday’s Drop

Rocket Lab shares fell 5.6% in today's US trading, having also fallen sharply yesterday, and now sit well below their 52-week high and slightly down on the year.

Rocket Lab USA (NASDAQ: RKLB), the aerospace and defence company, was trading at $67.91 by 6.29pm in London today, down 5.6%. That is the session’s low so far, with the shares having traded as high as $71.65.

Rocket Lab also fell sharply yesterday. The stock is 54.8% below its 52-week high and 72% above its 52-week low, and is down 2.7% so far this year.

Another fall after yesterday’s

Rocket Lab has 321 sessions of trading history, and the shares also fell sharply yesterday. Today they sit at the bottom of the day’s range. Volume so far is 12.7 million shares, against a 20-day average of 21.1 million.

NASA has cited Rocket Lab’s Neutron rocket as a potential launch provider, alongside SpaceX’s Falcon 9, for bulk launch buying tied to its planned $30bn moon base programme.

Jim Cramer, reviewing the Nasdaq 100’s third quarter on Mad Money on the 1st of October, said Rocket Lab was down 31% over the quarter, citing “Some delays, some dilution, lower margins”.

Rocket Lab’s next results are due on the 9th of November.
