Aviva Expects Over £500m Wealth Profit by 2032 Ahead of Briefing

Aviva will host its first Wealth investor briefing since 2023 at 9 am today, with a 2032 profit expectation of more than £500m already published in a statement.

Aviva (LON: AV.) says it is on track for £280m of Wealth operating profit by 2027 and expects to exceed £500m by 2032. The FTSE 100 insurer, which operates in the UK, Ireland and Canada, set out the targets in a statement today, ahead of a Wealth investor and analyst briefing.

Aviva shares closed at 708.4p yesterday, before the announcement. The stock is up 0.2% on Friday morning.

Group chief executive Amanda Blanc will host the event, with Doug Brown, chief executive of Insurance, Wealth & Retirement, and Michele Golunska, managing director of Wealth, presenting. Aviva says performance has been strong since the last Wealth briefing in 2023.

Wealth means pensions, investments and savings Aviva manages for customers. Operating profit, which excludes one-offs, has doubled since 2019, Aviva says, driven by its Workplace (employer pension schemes) and Adviser Platform (online investment service) businesses.

Aviva says UK wealth is set to grow at more than 10% a year through net flows and asset growth, with assets reaching £7.5tn and a profit pool of about £10bn by 2035. Those figures are Aviva’s own analysis, based on market data and company reporting.

The UK wealth market is a major growth opportunity and central to Aviva’s long-term strategy.

The insurer says it is the UK number one by Wealth assets, with £261bn and nearly six million Wealth customers, and cites a 21.8m UK customer base. It names AI, the Pension Schemes Act 2026 and Targeted Support, new regulated guidance for groups of savers, as opportunities.

Aviva sees scope for further organic growth beyond 2032 through Direct Wealth, Advice and Targeted Support. The statement carries no new dividend, buyback or earnings figure. The presentation and analyst Q&A will be streamed on aviva.com.
