IG Design Group plc (LON: IGR), which designs, sources and manufactures gift packaging, greeting cards, stationery and creative-play products, said before the market opened today that it has appointed Ari Bensoussan as Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Rohan Cummings. The shares showed little immediate reaction.
IGR shares closed at 101.5p yesterday and were trading around 102.57p in early dealing today, within a 52-week range of 44p to 110p. The RNS itself showed no discernible price move at the time it landed, consistent with a planned rather than surprise departure.
Cummings will step down as CFO and from the Board with effect from 31 August, though he will continue supporting the company through to the end of the year for an orderly handover. Bensoussan takes over as CFO from 1 September and will join the Board as an executive director from that date.
Non-Executive Chair Stewart Gilliland said: “On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Rohan for his significant contribution to the Company over the past three years. He has played an important role during a period of significant change for the Group, including the successful disposal of DG Americas, which marked a major step in reshaping and simplifying the business and renegotiating the Group’s banking facilities.”
Bensoussan joins from Thai Union Group PCL, a global seafood company, where he has been CFO, Europe, since 2021, having previously spent almost 25 years at Nestlé in senior finance and M&A roles, including Head of Finance and Group Controller at Nestlé Waters and M&A Director for the Nestlé Group.
Stewart Gilliland said: “I am delighted to welcome Ari to the Board. His extensive international finance and commercial experience will be hugely valuable as we look to broaden our customer reach and strengthen our commercial capabilities, while maintaining the financial discipline that has underpinned the Group’s recent progress.”
The handover is scheduled to run to the end of the year, with Cummings remaining available to support Bensoussan after leaving the Board on 31 August.
