PureTech Health (PRTC) Rises After FDA Fast Track for Blood-Cancer Drug LYT-200
PureTech Health’s oncology company Gallop Oncology, developer of LYT-200, has secured FDA Fast Track status for its blood-cancer antibody, clearing the way into a randomised Phase 2 trial and lifting the shares.
PureTech Health (LSE: PRTC), the biotherapeutics company, rose this morning after Gallop Oncology, its oncology company developing LYT-200, won FDA Fast Track designation for the blood-cancer drug.
PRTC last changed hands at 124.63p, up 1.66% from Friday’s close of 122.60p, having opened at 125.16p and traded as high as 127p.
That sits within the stock’s 52-week range of 107.40p to 143.60p and inside its trading range of roughly the past month.

Gallop Oncology completed an End-of-Phase 1 meeting with the FDA, a formal review confirming a drug is ready for larger testing, and secured Fast Track status, which speeds up regulator review, for LYT-200 in relapsed/refractory high-risk myelodysplastic syndromes, an aggressive blood cancer where bone marrow fails to make healthy blood cells. The designation clears the path to the randomised, placebo-controlled STRIDE-MDS Phase 2 trial, which will enrol around 125 patients.
The FDA’s green light follows encouraging Phase 1b results, in which LYT-200 combined with a hypomethylating agent produced a 27.3% complete response rate and a 45.5% overall response rate. Only one FDA-approved therapy has reached this patient group in two decades, and it works for only around 3% of patients with a specific mutation, underscoring the unmet need LYT-200 targets. PureTech intends to raise external capital in the first half of 2027 to fund Gallop Oncology through Phase 2.
Eric Elenko, Gallop Oncology’s acting chief executive and a PureTech co-founder, said:

Our productive End-of-Phase 1 meeting with the U.S. FDA provides a clear path to advance LYT-200 into Phase 2 development.

The move keeps PRTC within its recent range rather than marking a breakout, reflecting a binary regulatory catalyst rather than any change to near-term revenue for the wider £298.4 million company.
