Topps Tiles says full-year adjusted profit will match expectations of about £6.6m, even as sales including CTD fell 1.3% and extreme heat hit the final quarter. The update gives no outlook.
Topps Tiles (LON: TPT), the UK tile retailer, said today that full-year adjusted profit will be in line with expectations of about £6.6m. The update covers the 52 weeks to the 26th of September.
The shares closed yesterday at 36.0p, up from 35.6p the session before, a gain of 1.1%, which values the company at about £70m. The market has not yet opened, so how the shares react to the update is not yet known.
Topps Tiles daily share price over the 12 months to the close on the 30th of September, ahead of today’s full-year trading update.
The statement itself says only that profit will be in line with current market expectations. The £6.6m is the average of analyst forecasts compiled by the company on the 30th of September, which ran from £6.5m to £6.7m. The figure is not a reported result.

Sales including CTD, the trade tile retailer it bought in 2024, fell about 1.3% to about £292m. Excluding CTD they rose 0.7% to about £267m. Like-for-like sales, meaning sales from stores open over a year, plus online, slipped 0.1% at Topps Tiles. Extreme heat weighed on the fourth quarter, and like-for-likes improved in September.
Topps said it outperformed the market. UK home improvement spending fell about 1.7% between October 2025 and August 2026, according to the Barclays UK Consumer Spend Report.
Within the group, Pro Tiler Tools, the group’s tiling tools and consumables business, reached a record of about £42m, up 18.2%. Online made up 22.7% of sales including CTD, up 3.7 percentage points, and new hard-surface categories grew 9.1%. CTD, the trade business, now trades from 23 stores, down from 31 a year earlier.
Topps said its programme of savings across stores, labour and head office is complete, and that Fired Earth, a premium interiors and tile brand it acquired, added to profit.
