Unilever Says Ruby Lu Has Resigned From Its Board Effective Saturday

Unilever has announced that Ruby Lu has resigned from its board, effective Saturday. The release gives no reason and names no successor, and Friday's close came before the news.

Unilever (LON: ULVR) said today that Ruby Lu has resigned from its board, effective Saturday. The FTSE 100 company announced the change through a regulatory news release headed “Directorate change”.

Unilever Chair Ian Meakins thanked her in the announcement.

On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Ruby for her five years of service and perspective she has brought to the Board during that time. I wish her well for the future.

The release does not say why she is leaving, what her role on the board was or whether a successor will be named. It is a short governance notice with no business content.

Unilever shares closed on Friday at 4,937.5p, down 0.76% from the previous close of 4,975.5p. That session ended before the announcement, so the move cannot be linked to it. The stock has not yet traded on the news.
