UFC Fighters To Start Receiving Bitcoin Bonuses on Crypto.com Deal

In a deal announced earlier today, fighters participating in the Ultimate Fighting Competition (UFC) will have a chance to win a five-figure bonus paid in Bitcoin from Crypto.com.

Crypto.com and the UFC partnership will see the latter award prizes to the top three fighters at each UFC pay-per-view event based on votes collected from fans via a global voting process.

The winner will get a top prize of $30,000 paid in Bitcoin, with the second prize of $20,000 and the third prize of $10,000 awarded to the number two and three fighters. The funds will come in handy for UFC fighters whose average annual earnings were $160,000 in 2021.

The prizes will be awarded as part of a new program dubbed “Fan Bonus of The Night”, where UFC fans will determine the winners of the prizes by voting. Today’s deal extends the partnership between Crypto.com and the UFC announced in July 2021.

The initial deal between Crypto.com and the UFC was announced last year when Crypto.com because the UFC’s official “fight kit” partner in a 10-year deal valued at $175 million.

Crypto.com has been on a partnership acquisition spree, having recently signed a deal to become the official sponsor of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Crypto.com has partnerships with other US sporting organizations. However, its most iconic is acquiring the naming rights to the Staples Center in Los Angeles in a deal worth $700 million, dubbed the biggest naming rights deal in the global sporting industry.

The crypto buying and selling platform has partnerships with other sports teams and brands in various sports, including basketball, soccer, motor racing and hockey.

Many people are amazed at the significant amount of money Crypto.com has committed to its sports partnerships, but there is a good reason behind all the massive spending.

Sports fans worldwide are also likely to embrace cryptos if they keep seeing crypto.com’s logo and name in the sports they love. Therefore, Crypto.com is investing heavily in sports partnerships because this is the fastest way to become a global brand for the crypto trading platform.

Crypto.com takes a leaf from Coca-Cola’s playbook in massive advertising campaigns to create a globally trusted brand. I believe this strategy is working and will catapult Crypto.com into a massive global organization.
