Workspace Group PLC (LON: WKP), a prominent London-based provider of flexible workspace, has announced the appointment of Tom Edwards-Moss as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Designate.
Edwards-Moss will succeed Dave Benson, who previously announced his departure in August.
Edwards-Moss brings a wealth of experience to the role, most recently serving as Chief Executive of Hibernia Real Estate Group Ltd. since 2022. His background also includes a significant tenure at Credit Suisse in the UK & Ireland Investment Banking Team. His proven track record in real estate finance and leadership is expected to benefit Workspace as it navigates a dynamic market environment.
The appointment comes as Workspace Group focuses on executing its “Fix, Accelerate and Scale” strategy. This strategy aims to drive a sustained recovery in occupancy rates and income growth, areas where Edwards-Moss' expertise is expected to be particularly valuable.
Duncan Owen, Chair of Workspace, expressed confidence in Edwards-Moss's capabilities, citing his extensive experience in financial leadership as a key asset. Lawrence Hutchings, CEO of Workspace, highlighted Edwards-Moss's deep knowledge of the real estate sector and capital markets, emphasizing his potential to provide valuable direction to the business.
Edwards-Moss himself conveyed enthusiasm about joining Workspace, acknowledging the company's strong portfolio and history in the flexible workspace market. He emphasized his commitment to supporting the delivery of the company's strategy.
Tom Edwards-Moss currently holds 6,052 Ordinary Shares in Workspace, aligning his interests with those of other shareholders.
