Kansas City Southern shares have spiked after Dow Jones reported that “a group of buyout investors has made a takeover offer for railroad operator Kansas City Southern, according to people familiar with the matter.”
KSU shares are up 4.55% at $192.68 per share.
Concept Therapeutics has surged 40% over word via Bloomberg that exclusivity of its one drug, Korlym (which $TEVA has filed to develop as a generic) is faring well during today’s hearing.
CORT shares are currently trading at $18.
Amarin stock has plunged over 30% today as traders reacted to the news that judges have been assigned in its appeal of a ruling by a Nevada court that meant other companies were able to produce generic versions of Vascepa.
Its shares are currently trading at $5.17, down 28.86%.

-Asian markets traded mixed (again) overnight. Both the ASX and Nikkei closed higher, but the Hang Seng and the Shanghai composite are currently trading lower.
-US President Trump reiterated that he wants to see the US ‘compensated’ for the TikTok deal.
-AMC shares surged post-market after the company said 70% of its locations will be open by Friday.
-In FX markets the USD showed some strength yesterday afternoon and has stayed stable since, with the EURUSD still hovering just above 1.19.
-Australia’s GDP came in lower than expected.
-On the data calendar, we have already seen German retail sales for July came in below expectations, later on, today we have US ADP employment, US factory orders and a whole host of central bank speakers from the Fed and BoE.
-Names on the earnings calendar include Guess, Macy’s, Cloudera, Rocket Mortgage, Ambarella, and Guidewire.
