CrowdStrike Shares Jump After Record Quarter and Raised Outlook

CrowdStrike Holdings (NASDAQ: CRWD), the cybersecurity group behind the cloud-native Falcon platform, posted the strongest quarter in its history after Wednesday’s close. Shares jumped roughly 10% in after-hours trading, CNBC reported, as investors credited AI-driven demand for the acceleration.

CRWD closed Wednesday’s regular Nasdaq session, ahead of the results, at $189.18, within a 52-week range of $85.68 to $227.50. The confirmed regular-session reaction will only be visible once Thursday’s trading closes.

Second-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue rose 26% to $1.47bn, ahead of the $1.44bn consensus, with non-GAAP earnings per share of $0.31 versus $0.29 expected. Net new annual recurring revenue, new subscription business added in the quarter measured on an annualised basis, hit a record $333m, up 51% year-on-year and an acceleration from 32% growth in the first quarter. CrowdStrike raised its full-year net new ARR growth guidance by 630 basis points to roughly 34% at the midpoint, and lifted full-year revenue guidance to $5.99bn-$6.01bn from $5.91bn-$5.96bn.

Ending ARR grew 25% year-on-year to $5.84bn, and free cash flow reached a record $377.4m, 26% of revenue. Chief executive George Kurtz tied the acceleration to AI adoption creating fresh cybersecurity demand, calling it the “Mythos moment”: “Q2 was the best quarter in CrowdStrike’s history. Delivering record Falcon Flex results, record net new ARR, and accelerating growth—the Falcon is soaring. The Mythos moment translated into mass-market acceptance that AI adoption needs security, and that’s CrowdStrike.”

The results support the wider AI-infrastructure trade, in which companies adjacent to AI rollout benefit from the security demand it creates, a dynamic worth watching in peers such as Okta, Zscaler and Palo Alto Networks.

For UK traders, the signal is read-across to that peer group rather than a reason to chase CRWD itself after its already sharp advance so far in 2026.
